Coping Tips for BPD
BPD LOGO WHITE.jpg

Welcome to my website! I’m so glad you’ve found your way here. This space has been created with the Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) community in mind, whether you are living with BPD yourself, supporting someone who is, or simply looking to learn more. I know how overwhelming and isolating this condition can sometimes feel, which is why I’ve worked hard to fill this site with plenty of useful and supportive information.

Here, you’ll find resources covering everything from splitting and emotional episodes to treatment options and practical coping strategies. My aim is to make this a safe and encouraging place where you can access clear, compassionate information that may help you better understand and manage the challenges that come with BPD.

Beyond resources, I also offer one-to-one chats for those who would like more personal support. Whether you need a listening ear, guidance through an episode, or simply someone who understands, I’m here to connect with you.

This website is about community, hope, and finding ways forward together. Take your time exploring, and know that you are not alone on this journey.

About Me

Hello, and welcome! My name is Lucy and I’m here to share knowledge, guidance, and support for anyone navigating life with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD).

I’m 38 years old and was diagnosed with BPD in 2014. That moment was life-changing—it gave me a framework for understanding my emotions, relationships, and patterns that had felt overwhelming for years. Since then, I’ve been on a journey of both personal healing and professional growth, dedicated to learning everything I can about BPD and helping others feel less alone in their own experiences.

Academic Background

My fascination with the human mind led me to earn a degree in Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience. During my degree, I focused heavily on BPD and carried out my research dissertation on “The Effect of Schematic Priming on Threat Perception in People With and Without BPD.”

That work combined scientific research with lived experience, and it deepened my understanding of how thought patterns, perception, and emotions interact in those of us with BPD. It also confirmed what I had long suspected: people with BPD perceive the world differently, often through a lens shaped by heightened threat awareness.

I’ve continued this pursuit of knowledge ever since. I’m currently halfway through a Master’s degree in Clinical Neuroscience, and once completed, I intend to go on to a PhD with the ultimate goal of becoming a qualified doctor specialising in BPD. My dream is to combine lived experience, neuroscience, and clinical expertise to improve support for people with BPD worldwide.

Social Media and Community

Alongside my studies, I’ve built an active presence on social media, where I now have over 60,000 followers across platforms—mainly on TikTok.

Through videos, posts, and live streams, I share insights about BPD, coping strategies, and honest reflections on what it’s like to live with this condition day to day. My goal is to create a safe, validating community where people can learn, connect, and feel seen.

For many people, BPD can feel incredibly isolating. Social media has allowed me to reach people all over the world who might otherwise feel misunderstood or dismissed. It’s become one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

What I Offer

It’s important to be clear: I am not a medical doctor or therapist, and I cannot diagnose. What I can offer is a unique combination of personal experience, academic knowledge, and practical strategies that I’ve learned along the way.

To make this support more accessible, I now offer one-to-one online advisory chats, which you can book for a small fee. These sessions are not therapy, but they are a safe, supportive space where we can:
• Talk through the challenges you’re facing
• Explore strategies for managing BPD symptoms
• Discuss ways of improving relationships and emotional stability
• Share insights and resources that might help you on your journey

Many people find it helpful to speak to someone who not only understands the science, but also truly knows what it feels like. That’s the balance I try to bring into every conversation.

My Philosophy

BPD is complex. There is no single approach or solution that works for everyone, but I believe deeply in a holistic, compassionate approach. My work is about blending the latest insights from neuroscience and psychology with the very real, everyday experiences of living with BPD.

I know firsthand what it feels like to struggle with overwhelming emotions, turbulent relationships, and self-critical thoughts. But I also know that progress is possible. Through awareness, validation, and practical strategies, it is possible to build more stability, resilience, and self-acceptance.

I also believe in highlighting the strengths that come with living with BPD. People with BPD often have extraordinary empathy, creativity, sensitivity, and depth of perception. These qualities are just as much a part of the story as the challenges, and embracing them is part of the healing process.

Looking Ahead

My personal mission is to keep learning, sharing, and supporting while I continue my academic journey. With each step—whether through research, content creation, or one-to-one chats—I aim to break down stigma, empower people with knowledge, and offer real hope.

Long term, my vision is clear: to become a qualified doctor specialising in BPD, combining neuroscience, psychology, and lived experience to improve the lives of those who live with this condition. Until then, my focus remains on providing accessible guidance, support, and community for anyone who needs it.

Final Thoughts

Living with BPD is undoubtedly challenging, but it is also a journey filled with opportunities for growth, connection, and self-discovery. My hope is that by sharing my own story, knowledge, and strategies, I can help others feel less alone and more empowered to take control of their own path.

Whether you’ve just received a diagnosis, have been living with BPD for years, or are supporting someone you love, I want you to know that there is hope and there is a way forward. You are not alone—and I am here to walk alongside you on this journey.

Thank you for being here, and for taking the time to get to know me.
